Dharmansh Supports Gau Seva in Jharkhand and Odisha

 यत्र गावः प्रसन्नाः स्युः प्रसन्नास्तत्र सम्पदः
यत्र गावो विषण्णाः स्युर्विषण्णास्तत्र सम्पदः

The meaning of above Shloka is that “Places where cow is in a state of Happiness and Joy will witness Growth and Prosperity” and “Places where cow is in a state of sorrow will witness disappearance of wealth and people will suffer.

Sanatan Dharma’s scriptures are filled with the glories of cows and the benefits of serving cows.

The place where a cow sits becomes pious, and the dust of the cow’s feet is also considered sacred. According to Hindu scriptures, Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha are attained from the cow. No auspicious ritual of Sanatan Dharma is considered complete without one or more cow substances, such as cow milk, cow dung, cow urine, and ghee made from cow milk.

However, Gau Mata and Gau Vansh are in grave danger today in Bharat. The only nation in the world where Gau Mata is worshiped has become the top exporter of beef, where several thousand cows are slaughtered every day for beef export.

In such a condition, just a few Dharmik people are trying to  protect Gau Vansh and serve cows through Gaushalas and other ways of taking care of them. Some of the Hindu Karyakartas from Jharkhand and Odisha reached out to team Dharmansh for financial assistance in providing basic services to old, sick, and injured cows who are orphaned because of any of the listed reasons below  (these are very common in Bharat today):

  1. When cows are old, people leave them on the streets with no one to care for them because cattle fodder is no longer affordable.
  2. Cows who are sick, their owners leave them orphaned to die on the streets. When Gau Rakshakas and other Hindu volunteers see them, they rescue them and try to save and serve them.
  3. Many times, when police, with the help of Gau Rakshaks from various Hindu organizations, apprehend Gau Tashkars, they abandon their transport vehicles loaded with hundreds of cows in pathetic situations. Those cows need shelter, and the police administration needs help finding an appropriate Gaushala for them. Many of those cows need urgent attention from doctors and treatment to survive.

In the first quarter of the calendar year 2024, team Dharmansh reached out to Gau Sevaks in Jharkhand and Odisha, who work with the Gaushalas that host and serve such cows who fall in the above-described categories and assisted them with doctor fees, medicines, and fodder.

We are extremely pleased to report to our Dharmansh community that we have been able to help protect and serve over fifteen hundred cows in two states. Encouraged by our support, many doctors came forward to provide free service for these cows. Many local Hindu business owners, farmers, and even normal villagers came forward to help this cause of serving Gau Mata.

Here some pictures showing the state of those cows that Dharmansh received after police rescued some cows from the Gau Tashars who abandoned them when police raided them and ran away.  These cows have been malnourished and have been kept hungry for many days:

Here are some pictures of the teams feeding and treating the cows who needed immediate saving.

We are grateful for the Hindus who understand the need for financial assistance to the Hindu Karyakartas who are fighting for Dharma, who are trying to protect Hindu culture on the ground like this. Therefore, we are grateful for all the Hindus who are supporting us through their Dharmansh month after month and helping strengthen Dharma on the ground.

Har Har Mahadev!
